Drystone cast and pedestal
Using drystone as a casting medium, this sculpture was created from making silicone moulds of discarde furniture found around Montréal. Transforming the materiality of used furniture into a type of plaster, the sculpture appears as a representation of phantom-like presence of those objects that are destined to disappear from domestic and public sights. The process of mould-making serves as creation of negative, which implies the possibility of the positive casts to exist in multiples.
